The ‘Usha’s Sunrise’ Cushion
This print is a nod to the kolam/muggu (a line drawing made by curved connected hoops through a grid of dots, typically with rice powder or chalk-powder) we’ve seen drawn in front of our homes growing up. Considered auspicious, women have drawn these in front of their homes inviting prosperity for ages, typically in the southern Indian states. Another nod to tradition- the woman in a classical dance pose. Whether you prefer a bright pop of color or a more muted addition to your color palette, this cushion will be perfect for your space with its minimalist nod to nostalgia.
Note: The cushion comes with an envelope closure and multiple ties both for ease of use and added visual effect.
Each cushion has two distinct designs on each side. Pictures featured here are two sides of a single cushion. Fillers not included but can be bought separately.
All designs are hand-drawn/hand-illustrated and then screen-printed individually by hand. Any slight imperfections that you see are because they are hand-crafted.
